Privacy Policy

The “General Data Protection Rules” (GDPR) of the European Union are a good thing – they demand transparency on data usage. In the sections and paragraphs below, you can find out how your data is collected, used and stored when you visit this website.

Who I am

My name is Lyubomir Bukov, I’m non-professional photographer and my website address is https://www.lyubomir.bukov.com.

What personal data I collect and why I collect it

Comments

When visitors leave comments on my site I collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string, to help spam detection. To detect and filter comment spam, I am using the Akismet plugin for WordPress.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. After approval of your comment, the profile picture you set on Gravatar is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Gravatar and Akismet are services of Automattic, and their privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/.

The data stored along with your comment can only be removed by deleting the comment. If you wish to remove a comment or all comments you have left to remove your data, please contact me.

Contact forms

When you use the contact form to leave personal feedback, the data you provide in the fields of that form, and your IP address are stored on my site. To detect and filter contact form spam, I am using the Akismet plugin for WordPress, a service of Automattic. Their privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will be stored on your computer for one year unless your browser is configured to delete them earlier.

Searches

All searches performed using the internal site search are logged in the database, including the following information: the search query, the number of hits found, date and time. No personal data is collected when you search.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

How long I retain your data

Comments

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so I can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. This information can only be deleted by also deleting your comment. Please contact me if you wish to remove a comment you left, and I’ll take care of it.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
